Y’all. I know it’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I just finished my capstone proposal and now I have until the end of March to do all the work I proposed in it. At some point, I know I’m going to ask myself what I was thinking.

However, in that time, I’ve managed to do a few things that aren’t school related. I have a new book! The Clothes Make the Man follows Arthur, a gentle soul, as he navigates academia, relationships, family life, and gender dysphoria in a fat body. This novella-in-flash, which is a collection of connected flash fiction stories, was published by Ad Hoc Fiction and is available on their site here and on Amazon.
I’ve also recently appeared on a podcast about books. It was so much fun – I got to talk about Arthur, cats, queer fiction, the weirdness of the creative muse and more. The host, Oaky was wonderful and I hope you’ll give it a listen.
I promise to try to stay a little more on top of news and stuff – like did y’all know I was shortlisted with Bridport?! A dream come true. I’m also still posting flash fiction pieces on my Patreon – join me there if you’re interested in reading my bursts of microfiction and seeing the occasional how’s-it-going video. All my Patreon income for the past few months and the next few months are going to a couple of friends who are dealing with cancer in their family.
In the meantime, I’ll try to keep more up to date here.
Good luck with your new book!
