Finnian Burnett

I was so happy to recently win a writing contest for Off-Topic Publishing. They published my story, which was written specifically for their contest, and I won a nice sum of money. Sometimes it can get disheartening sending in stories, waiting for rejections, making shorts lists, not moving on to win, or making long lists and not moving onto the shortlist.

Then there are the weeks in which you have several acceptances or wins at once and you remember why you do this writing thing.

This win was my first of 2022 and it felt good to know that no matter what else happens in 2022, I have this to look back on.
