I was recently invited to submit a few drabbles to a Drabble Advent Calendar – a 100-word story a day sort of holiday thing. Because it’s a holiday thing, the stories were meant to be lighthearted and family-friendly. And though I usually dabble in dark and depressing, I have to admit I had so much fun giving my stories sweet and happy endings! (My characters were grateful, too.)
